Frontier models offer a unique choice of chassis and power units. Scout, Dakota and Mohican are available with the Fiat 18 Maxi XLWB chassis or as a longer wheel base version using the latest Alko chassis conversion which features independent suspension and alloy wheels. The world famous rear wheel drive Mercedes-Benz Eurosprinter, again with alloy wheels, is a further choice. Eurosprinter is powered by the latest 129 or 156 bhp common rail diesel engines. Another feature of the popular Mercedes-Benz versions is the ‘Sprintshift’ 6 speed sequential change automatic gearbox which can also be specified as an optional cost extra. The majestic six-wheeled Arapaho and both Chieftain models all use the superb Fiat 18/Alko chassis which provides the most generous of payloads from its Gross Vehicle Weight of 4500 kilos.
